Mustafa Comprehensive School is situated in Kontagora Local Government of Niger State. The School was established by Col. Sani Bello (rtd) in 1981 with the vision of Providing an alternative education process that carefully focuses on building character as well as knowledge. The School comprises pre-nursery, Nursery, Primary, Junior Secondary (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS). The motto of the school is “Knowledge and Character “.
The school started with 17 pupils as a Nursery / primary School and 2 corp members. The founding Head mistress was Cecy Yellow Duke ( 1981- 1983) while the 2nd Head Mistress was Mrs A.O Shobolafrom 1983 – 1987. The first set of candidate that sat for the common Entrance in 1988 under the Headmastership of Mal Yahaya Bala (1987 – 1990) recorded a 100% success. The name of the school later changed in 1990 to MUSTAFA COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL during the leardership of Mr Dominic T. Bature as the pioneer Principal (1990 – 1991). The school produced its 1st graduands (JSS 3) in 1993 the principal then was Dr Lavender Williams (1991 – 1993). In 1996, the shool produced her first Senior Secondary School Graduands with EXCELLENT performance in SSCE under the principalship of Mr Zachary S. Ikani (1994 – till date)
As a Comprehensive School, the curriculum is implemented on the new National Policy on Education.
